Memories of the Original War

Epilogue: Peace

“ARTICLE 18. LIMITS. In a joint declaration of war, two nations may agree that their combattants must not use certain powers or take certain actions. They may also agree to shackle the powers or strength of their older girls, for example to allow younger ones to shine. Such agreements must be respected.” — excerpt from the Treaty on Friendly War

“And that’s my account and my memories of the Original War,” I concluded.

Jouette and Daina stopped fighting and all four girls clapped their hands in applause.

“Thank you for the story, Astra,” said Daina, “I’m not sure why they didn’t teach this at school. It gives so much perspective.”

“I’m kind-of glad they didn’t,” said Jouette, pondering, “they wouldn’t tell it to us the way Astra did, with all the mess and stripping and such.”

The other two nodded, “the story really benefited from those elements.”

That made me happy. They weren’t angry at me at all.

“But I’m still a little disappointed,” continued Jouette with a smile.

I asked, “why?”

“You had us suffer through so much during the story, and yet you yourself suffered so little after our initial pranks. And we haven’t had a kissborn to mess up for ages here!”

All four girls looked at me expectantly. Even Luna did.

“Tell you what,” I offered, “let’s wrestle, right here, the three of you against me, anything goes. Would that satisfy you?”

“Let’s do it!” said Jouette and they all stood up.

But then my daughter spoke softly, “hey guys?”

We looked at her. She looked like she was having a little trouble with formulating what she wanted to say. “I, …after my mom’s story, and seeing you all have fun like this, …I’d like to join in.”

I nodded at her to encourage her, and she continued “As mom said, I only have a couple of months left as a Child and I don’t feel like a child anymore, anyway, so I think it makes sense, and the Urge is getting restless, and so,

…you know.”

“Of course!” said Jouette, “but you must join on our side: Astra is strong enough on her own!”

“Yeah,” Luna chuckled. With a thought, she dismissed her protection. The shield of the Child Sanctity Barrier shimmered away into emptiness. Now, I immediately sent a pie into her face — and it connected!

For the first time in a very long while, Luna had allowed herself to get messy. The cream splattered her cheeks.

“And now it’s your turn, Astra,” said Jouette and the wrestling started.

Jouette and Luna pinned me down while Daina and Alrae went fetch food to cover me with. I knew they couldn’t win if I made an effort. That wasn’t really the point here but I wanted to play along. I summoned a small gungefall over Jouette and Luna. The heavy gunge flowed down their backs and on their legs.

When Daina and Alrae returned with hands full of pies, I took control of that food and plastered the girls themselves with it. They had to go back for new ones.

Luna managed to take hold of a cake and smash it against my chest. It was cold and refreshing. Also large so Luna grabbed parts of it and pressed them into my dress. Jouette also took the cake, opened my skirt and smeared the cake between my legs.

That meant I could go up a level as well. Telekinetically, I pulled open the backside of Luna’s shirt and poured yoghurt within. She gasped but I could see the pleasure in her eyes.

Yes, wrestling, messing, humiliation and combat. We all love it, we’ve always loved it, it’s just how the world is and how it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t get rid of the Urge if I could. These moments where we have fun together are the best moments we have.

Sarrah was the same. She just overstepped some limits. In a way what she did was good for the world in the long run. It would be fake modesty to hide my own efforts in the war but we could say that it was Sarrah who caused the Treaty to happen. And the world after the Treaty has been just so much better than what it used to be.

It gave us the serenity that comes from knowing that you are safe, no matter what happens; it gave us the peace of mind to know no matter what adventures we take, everything was going to turn out alright in the end.

And it did, it always did.

Well, it seems like I was thinking for much too long. I found myself undressed, held by four girls and pie after pie getting plastered all over my body. No matter.

I smiled. Time to turn back the tables.

End.

Author’s note: Thank you, dear reader, for considering Memories of the Original War worthy of your time.

Allow me to make a personal note, please, and explain a bit on the origin of the world of Jouette.

I published my first wam story (Rescue from the Darkmud Prison) in November 2015. At the time, I had been suffering from depression for months and was looking for new experiences that would allow me to feel something. I thought writing erotic fiction might be it: it had an air of naughtiness to it, and it was something I had never done before. So I took the world that I already tended to visit in my dreams, added in the fact that everyone’s immortal (death having been the trigger of my depression) and posted it. The one “like” I received one week later from a reader at Wam Story Archive was enough of a positive response for me to publish another chapter.

A week later, due to an unrelated event, my depression abruptly ended, but by then I felt already to be part of the community and continued to read and write stories for the Archive (and then Library) community. I like it here.

I realize that stories in set in the world of Jouette are a niche interest. I’ve been reading wam fiction since 2013 and I’ve also read about people’s real-life wam experiences, at the experience-project (back when it was still online) and elsewhere, but the mix of water/mud and fantasy make-believe environment that the world of Jouette represents appears to be a very rare combination of interests so I can’t point you to any really similar stories.

The Haunted Swamp Tour is similar in that it has a girl muddling through a swamp who’s confronted with spirits. HenryLee’s Slime series feels similar. It’s ostensibly a game show, but the expansiveness of the studio, the number of rooms with obstacles and the scale of everything makes it feel closer to Memories of War to me. The Wam Carnival interactive story feels similar for the same reason, and is the direct inspiration for my The Final Exam.

Saying that these are similar to the Jouette stories is a stretch, and so I’m still looking. I’ve heard it said that no matter what you feel, think or like, there’s somebody on this internet who feels, think or likes the same. That generally seems to hold true so I like my chances.
